This is waterfront living at it's finest! The boat is well built and well layed out. It was recently remodeled and looks more like a 2007 than a 1967! It has an open floor plan two bedrooms on the main level and a kitchen that is open to the large living area. It also has huge outside decks on both levels. This floating home comes with all appliances, including a washer and dryer. It is a great spot for entertaining!. Imagine having your own waterfront home. Picture yourself in a boat on a river......
The old Beatles tune kept running through my head as I took a quick walk through this wonderful example of mid 60s boat building on the Great Lakes. Schwarz Marine was a builder of commercial and recreational vessels for many years. The quality of work is very evident in the welding and overall workmanship.
I cannot wait to show this to someone with an eye for what can be.
The time has come for this old girl to be updated. The current owner has had her for 30 years and it is time to move on.
There is such a wonderful shippy feel to this boat. I had more fun in a couple hours than I have had on a boat in many years. Someone with a vision for what can be will have a wonderful one of a kind boat when the refurbishment is done.
The pictures will not fully represent all this boat will be after some refurbishment. When you visit in person you will see what I saw and be hooked.
Make no mistake about it, she is capable of making her way to her new home with no trouble, the engines and structure look as good as the day they were built.
The furnishings and appliances are dated. Now I guess they call it RETRO, in which case you may want her just as she is. Everything is top notch and it would be possible to sail away as is.
If you are looking to cruise or liveaboard in fairly sheltered waters, this is going to be a magnificent piece of marine history.
This boat has seen little use in recent years. The exterior photos show some dirt. A new owner would want to upgrade the navigational electronics, overhaul or replace some of the systems, and aesthetically restore the boat to its full magnificence. Even with this investment and with transport to any port in the world a truly unique vessel can be had for a value price. Owner just reduced the price and is pretty firm on the current number.

Built in the well respected Schwarz Marine yard in Two Rivers Wisconsin, her commercial heritage is very evident. Strong aluminum construction with little evidence of corrosion since boat has always been in fresh water. Spacious 2 stateroom layout makes for a huge amount of living area.
Big windows are found throughout the boat. Screens are on every window. All windows open for great ventilation.
Something you do not see often is a retractable forward keel to counteract windage due to the shallow draft and high freeboard. Drawing only 1 foot forward allows beaching.
An interesting layout with huge aft salon. Midships is full galley, two stowage lockers, a full head with shower and the guest quarters with bunks. A built in chest of drawers and a large hanging locker provide ample storage in the stateroom.
The galley has full sized appliances, plenty of stowage and counter space and a double stainless steel sink.
A garbage disposal is under the double stainless steel sink.
Forward is the master, with king berth, large hanging locker and head with basin.
There is a built in chest of drawers and plenty of room for additional stowage.
A spiral staircase leads to the pilothouse from the hall opposite the guest quarters. Port and starboard doors lead from the pilothouse to the upper deck. Forward is a large open deck.
Plenty of room for a table and chairs, sun lounges or hot tub.
As you head aft, the deck is covered by a canvas roof extension. Just aft and down three steps from the pilothouse is the crown jewel of this wonderful river cruiser. A huge upper salon with three sides made of sliding glass doors with screens and the forward bulkhead made up of stowage and a buffet height counter, provides a terrific entertainment area. Just aft of this space is another large open deck with a stairway to the cockpit.
There is hot water baseboard heat throughout the boat. A Triad diesel fired boiler provides plenty of hot water.
Crusair air conditioning cools all interior spaces.
The boat is due for a refurbishment but the design and structure are fabulous.
Though well equipped, the nav gear is dated. The pilothouse however is big and has a good view in all directions.
As with the rest of the boat, the potential is unlimited.
Raised pilothouse area and top deck providing outstanding views.
The upper deck, the owner calls it the "Lido Deck", is a wonderful place to watch the river go by, entertain or have a terrific office.
Storage is plentiful throughout the entire boat.
Sturdy bulwarks and rails are found on every deck.
Gates port and starboard allow easy access to the dock from the cockpit.
These Cats were installed in 1972 and these naturally aspirated diesels may well last forever if cared for. At 150 HP, these V-8s are nearly bulletproof. There are 3000 hours on both the mains and generator.
The engine room is huge, with work bench and laundry. Not quite standing height, but everything is very easily accessed.
Tankage is in a separate compartment and is all aluminum.
Entry to the engine room and the tank room is through separate hatches in the galley.
The entire boat is AC power except for nav gear and bilge pumps. There is no 12 Volt lighting.
There is an air compressor and large engine room blowers of squirrel cage design.
12 volt, 3 batteries charged by: engine, shore power, generator
Lots of room for Hot Tub, dinghy, bikes, scooters or what have you.
