I purchase this project boat about a year ago and have done a lot of work restoring it with the idea of day sailing and occasional overnights. Recently my circumstances have changed and I now have time for some extended cruising and want a bigger boat. The only basic work left to be done is to install a back stay chain plate and possibly shorten the back stay. The boat is also missing the centerboard, but some people sail this model without one. This is a cypress boat built in 1948. It has been glassed over about 6 years ago. The deck has just (within the last month) been glassed over. This boat is solid. It has three new 8D batteries/32V system, two new bildge pumps, high water alarm, EBERB and lift raft, three life vests. The inside and outside are in "yacht" condition. It has been dry-docked in March 2010 with new bottom paint. Inside, it has new sinks, flooring, walls, kitchen cabinets, microwave, frig, stove top. Electronics include: GPS, bottom finder, VHF, 36-mile radar, CB radio, remote control search light. It has a 32V to 12V converter brand new. Nets include: one 66' four seam baloon, and one 50' mongoose. It has one set of 9x40 aluminum doors and try net and doors. The engine is a 8V71 Detroit Deisel. The generator is a brand new 6.5 kilowat deisel with only 50 hours. There is a window air conditioner in the sleeping area that cools the whole inside. The boat holds 1000 gallons of fuel.
